I was starting my own business and I had an image of who I wanted to be. After a little bit of searching for what I felt was right for me, A 6 week challenge posted on Facebook. I had no idea what I was getting myself in to, but it ended up being not only what I was looking for but one of the best things to happen to me thus far. This brought me to CutThroat.
My first impression of CrossFit was all positive even though my body was in severe pain and my diet was flipped up-side down. I do feel the reason for the all positive review is based on the team at CutThroat. I feel very fortunate to have had my initial experience with Brian and all the New You coaches. There is no real change from my initial impression, only a sense of camaraderie that continues to grow with the coaches and the team as a whole.
My first Bright spot had to be at the end of the 6 week challenge when I had lost over 30 pounds of noticeable weight. I worked harder than I ever had and I disciplined my nutrition like never before. The results were quick and obvious.
My overall goal is still to reach the image that is burnt in my mind of who I want to be. However, on the scale to reaching that goal I am starting another strict Paleo 6 week circuit, participating at CutThroat 4-5 times a week and always pushing a little harder than yesterday.
My favorite memory thus far was coming in on the Tuesday after Memorial Day. My wife and I had thought that we were in the clear for missing “Murph”, but right when Brian walked in the door he sternly spoke – “Anyone who didn’t do ‘Murph’ yesterday is doing it today.” The thought of the look on mine and my wife’s face makes me laugh every time…
